About the Event
This workshop is designed for senior EN’s who would have experience in wound care and decision-making for wound management plans and RN’s who attend to wound care and make clinical decisions regarding wound debridement. The sessions is hands on, discussing all the various methods of wound debridement and cleansing.
There are two documents that attendees are requested to access prior to the training day to give greater understanding of sharp debridement in the context of the terminology around debridement ---not all wounds need sharp debridement in order to be cleaned correctly and we will teach you other methods to achieve good wound cleansing.
The second day will discuss principles of healing, assessment, skin tears, PI, lower wounds and compression.
