About the Event

The 400 plus 2019 Prevention and Treatment of Pressure Ulcers/Injuries Clinical Practice Guideline is no easy feat for a busy clinician to read. We will bring you a synopsis of this guideline. We will pick out the most controversial and significant evidence and good practice statements for you. There is some new terminology to help you understand the devices and role of equipment and naturally some newer technology that may be available to help your patients recover from these often significant and debilitating wounds.

Once again we will leave time for your questions and hopefully answer some of those controversies—like are heel booties required if the resident is on an alternating or specific automatic air mattress? This is currently a point of high contention—so do not throw your booties and other heel devices away and come to the next webinar to gain more evidence and strength of best practice.
