Hard to Heal wounds

There are many wounds we struggle to make a difference with. These could include the normal everyday wounds we see- venous and arterial ulcers and lymphoedema. But then there are ulcers on legs caused by inflammatory condition or auto immune issues. We will tackle also the care of palliative wounds or wounds deemed to be non healable in a relatively healthy person. Naturally to start we need to cover off on the normal then embark on the abnormal. We encourage you also to bring along photos of your hard to heal wounds for discussion and the setting of clinical pathways to assist in providing comfort and reducing risk of infection.
